I really believe that mom's do a lot- we run entire empires within the walls of our homes. We cook, clean, pay bills, shop, pack lunches, bath kids, wash dishes... the list goes on and on. And every once in a while- we need a little extra pampering. And that is why I am so excited about this giveaway.
I'm going to be honest, almost any day that you come to my house, I'm likely to be barefoot or in slippers- even if I am otherwise completely dressed. Years ago, I was given these perfect slippers, they have endured and lasted through washings and road trips and public appearances (yes, they have walked the halls of my children's school more than once, as I forgot they were not shoes). I honestly never thought they could be replaced- durable, comfortable, and they have become like a favorite pair of old jeans-- perfectly fitted. Irreplaceable. They have grown so comfortable over the years, I forgot just how incredible they were new, and while thinking of some of our favorite items to include in the giveaway, I thought how great it would be to share my favorite slippers with you all.

Dearfoams Details: How it all began
Dearfoams was founded by Florence Melton in 1947 within her company, R.G. Barry. Florence was in the shoulder pad business (called Sholda Shams!), and was seeking a new way to make a better shoulder pad. While visiting a tire factory in Akron Ohio, she discovered a new foam technology just released for industrial use. She took a sample of the foam with her, and while driving home it occurred to her that the new foam would feel great on (or rather, under) feet. The rest, as they say, is history!
Not only do they make a product that I love, but I have to give them an extra boost here- because they are from my homestate, and I love things made here in Ohio. So, I contacted them asked them if they would be willing to sponsor one of our giveaways, and I was super excited when they agreed. They were kind enough to send me some to review.
I can promise you, when they arrived the tags came off rather quickly, and they have been on my feet since - with the slight exception of when my daughter snagged them and declared them "cotton candy for toes!" while making a failed attempt to claim them as hers. And, it's not that I don't still adore my old Dearfoams... but I can see the many benefits to having a new pair- certainly worth having a small stockpile for those moments when you have to be on your feet all day running your own little empire. They are comfortable, with a solid cushion that supports your foot while still giving you that "cotton candy for your toes" feel of softness. I still love my old pair, but I have to admit, the new pair lack the years of mommy stains, and- I really didn't remember the old ones being so fuzzy. (At this moment, I should point out that my husband was probably right in telling me for a very long time that new ones would be even better than the old ones.)
These really are a great "spoil yourself" investment, and if you have a woman (or guy as they have wonderful selection of slippers for our dad's, brothers, husbands, and boyfriends) in your life that needs a little something special- they make the perfect gift- I am still thrilled remembering where I got my first pair from.
